attachmentOne of the many benefits of a St. John boat charters with Pirates Paradise Adventures is the view from the water of St. John’s gorgeous beaches. You can reach all the beaches by car on St. John, but the view of these spectacular beaches form the water is truly beautiful. It can also help you decide which beaches you want to go back and visit later!

Since there are no marinas on St. John, there’s one main place we pick you up for your St John boat rental. The most popular pick up location is the National Park dock in Cruz Bay, across from the Mongoose Junction shopping center. In addition to this spot, we can also pick up at the Caneel Bay resort, if you are staying there.

From either location, your boat rental in St John can head to St Thomas or Water Island, the smallest and newest U.S. Virgin Islands, or head off to the British Virgin Islands like Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Saba Rock or Scrub Island.

Soggy Dollar sign Jost Van DykeOne of the most popular attractions in the British Virgin Islands are the many beach bars, all totally unique. Jost Van Dyke is home to the Soggy Dollar, Foxy’s and Ivan’s Stress Free Bar. Norman Island is home to the famous (infamous?) Willy T , a popular floating “pirate bar,” and the recently rebuilt Pirate’s Bight.

One thing to note about the beach bar crawling on your St John Boat rental – the beach bars are not like typical “bars” in your home town. Most are thatched roof huts on the sand, and are very laid back and family-friendly. During the day, the beach bar owners do a good job of keeping them “PG rated.” It is tradition on the Willy T to give away T-shirts to women who jump off the roof topless, but that usually happens only in the evenings, not during the day.
